🪒🗓️365 Shaves 2023🗓️🪒

So todays shave was one of those perfect post comfort shaves that is my end goal !

More here in my journal on the two blade comparisons
but was the Black 7 O’Clock vs my #2 Green 7 O’Clock as the base

in quick both of course post were incredible perfect no sting when the AS hit at all just the cool of the alcohol and OH I love that feeling of nothing
do think the Green was a touch sharper

so yeah the CC Cream delivers the best post once again !
I had a few days of some irritation with the CC cream ? Still have to figure that out unless it was something else ? Or just the Land Ho that did it but the Lime and Bay Rum together is wonderful scent
not a fan of the lime on its own as much the Bay Rum on its own
Not to worried as the post is still better than my other soaps but the soap comparison is still 2nd to my blades for a while so life is good and todays shave was again that perfect end goal what I want daily !!!!
I do have to see if I can get the CC hard soap to perform the same as the cream and so far I cant ? Not sure if its the water or just the end user hahahaahah but either way no worries !

Timeless Ti .68 SB of course as always

FEB GRUME still in

Razor: Henson al13+
Blade: Treet platinum (1)
Soap: B&M Seville
Brush: RR Bruce
Post: Non

3 passes just now ended in damn near BBS. Haven't used the Seville much as I dont care for the scent in the tub, but wow does it lather easily. So slick and my face feels great after, even skipping any post care products.

Be well

I had to adjust this soap quickly to get it good and slick-to the point of it being almost runny. After that it was smooth sailing to a 9.561 (BBS) finish and no irritation.

SV Saturday

IMG_20230204_154354.jpg

Razor: Muhle R89 Rosegold
Blade: Personna Med-Prep(4)
Brush: Yaqi Purple Mink
Soap: SV 70th Anniversary

Tonight for SV Saturday I lathered 70th Anniversary with the Purple Mink, that and the Purple Haze are my favourite brushes for face lathering SV. I prefer a slightly larger knot than my 21mm STF with SV so the 24mm Yaqis are perfect. The shave went so well I had a BBS in just 3 passes and a spritz of Clinique Happy for Men to finish off.

SV Saturday 4th February, shave #35

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #5
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm, Hyaluronic Acid.

Continued using SV70 (soap for the first week of February). Since Friday's shave was a bit rushed, had a thorough, multi-pass near-BBS.

Notes to today’s shave:

The Tiger is clearly over the top in terms of performance as I need more passes to get the job done. I steered clear from going overly ATG (some in the neck) hence the end result of CCS - which in my book is kind of sub standard (although comfortable and without injuries is always a good thing), but the point of today’s shave was to learn more about the angle or sweet spot for this razor and I did. It’s more neutral than I actually thought or at least with this blade.

More details on this shave and others can be found here in my journal.

Enjoy your Sunday shave!

Great shave today. Have two razors that both due a great job. In no risk of acquiring RAD. BAD and SAD are a different question.
Be seeing you! #4. Have a great day.

Razor: Muhle R89 Rosegold
Blade: Personna Med-Prep(5)
Brush: Yaqi Moka-Express 2 band badger
Soap: EJ Limes and Pomegranate

Tonight Limes and Pomegranate was back for another round with the Moka-Express. I am finding this soap very finicky when it comes to how much water it needs. I often find myself having to adjust the water, but the best way I have found to do it is to overload with the soap and add the water a dribble at a time testing until it reaches the right consistency.
Unfortunately with this being a 3rd tier soap with the R89 the finish was only a DFS+, but that is good enough and I don't expect more of the EJ soap.
