I wonder why I don't use this soap more. The cigarish scent is so pure & aromatic after lathering... truly a rich creamy and slick lather. Closes splash to match. The brush is just awesome...larger than large!
A much better performance from this razor after putting it through the full diamond pasted balsa progression from a LaLune edge. After stroping on the Kanayama, buttery smoothness is felt for the 3 passes resulting in a bbs-dfs finish without any issues...superb!!

SE SOTD, Friday, January 6th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur AC 50mm-Mfg 2021>, tame mid range, simple blade clamping design, small head parts, very nimble and very enjoyable shaving with this combination of handle and head. Results are exceptional also so it is used weekly if possible. Daily driver for most folks. Blades are a little pricy but I get 6 great shaves with the Schick proline p30 blade.
Blade : Schick proline p30(2), sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, nice fragranced soap(vanilla with mild tobacco) with excellent lather qualities, just opened my 2nd tub up.
Brush : Yaqi "Bali" 24mm silver tip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, great splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm with a Schick pro line blade. Great combination of blade and razor!
