I survived a lathey foreman
Black Friday sales stuff came in finally and was a little leery about the cold temperatures that the aftershave might freeze & break but all was good. I have been using Razorock XXX soap & aftershave
for the last 5 years and thought better stock up while they had a great sale. The cologne is excellent with some staying power strength, a little goes a long way.

They arrived! 100 Polsilvers, thought they would run out of stock so I fell out of grume for them. They seem to get good reviews universally and I liked the pack I sampled before.

Found some stuff in the wild:
Went to a local shop on a lark today, and found three vintage Gillette razors that I don't need, but couldn't resist, because one is my favorite and I didn't have the other two in my collection.
The first is nickel pre-war Tech. This one is a backup to my backup.
The other two, I *think*, are a 1918 Old Type with bulldog handle and a 1938 Senator. The Old Type was nearly black but polished up nicely.

Very nice. I've never seen a flat-bottom Tech in the wild.
Around here you find lots of techs, flare tips, Schick injectors, Gems and Rolls razors. I didn’t really want to spend any money but I had to buy it.
Well, yesterday actually. 
I've always liked the look of the Gillette New Improved Tuckaway, but have never spotted one for sale (here in the UK).
A Jade Milady Décolletée appeared on the UK eBay. I believe this is the same razor, barring the plating (the Tuckaway being silver and the Milady being gold). I made an offer, which was accepted, and it arrived yesterday.
Today I took some photos (it's used but in pretty fair condition):

I smell like a Christmas pudding
A 150g unused Yardley Black Label soap on a rope to add to my vintage Yardley collection.
The Postman dropped this off in my mailbox early this morning.

And as the Zenith was drying from it's first lather session the door bell rang.

And these two little guys showed up with a sample of Rastilho shaving cream.

The Klenzo comes equipped with a familiar head. This is the Conrad or Barbasol Non-Floating variety. There may be others, but this is one of the few of this head in a gold tone that I’ve seen.

Hello there, The Two Minute Safety Razor!
She’s pretty tarnished over the silver, and she’s missing the nub to open. I think I can open this with a thumb tack. If I had one.
Wooden handle is in gear shape. Front posts are intact!

If you get one of these, know that the part of the case where the handle rests lifts out for hidden goodies. Out, not just up. It’s not attached to anything.
Serial number on the bottom of the handle rest, blade storage, etc.
The original blades are shorter, but wider, than a standard Gem. That said, a Gem will seat on the front posts. I think this can be used with a modern Gem despined.

Arrived today. Ever since @Marco and others spoke so highly of Floid I’ve wanted to give it try. Will use it tomorrow. Smells great!
I’m a huge fan of Bay Rum and this stuff smells good but for me nothing has beaten Stirling (only tried the scented witch hazel so far) and Dr Jon’s Anne Bonny. Variety is the spice of life!
