Irish Moos limerick review

With shaving soaps, we try to determine the Boss
So let’s take a look at our friend, Irish Moos

The name brings to mind things green, leafy and mossy
But I find the scent a bit sharpish and bossy

The smell is just one aspect, just one little thing
But it smells to my nose, like a bar of Irish Spring

Now before I go on, and begin to blather
Let’s get down to business-how well does it lather?

It comes in a stick, which I milled into a bowl
As I like whipping lather, it soothes my soul

I load up the brush, and swirl ‘til BANG!
My bowl is filled with sweet thick meringue

I paint it on thick to the sides of my face
Then remove with a razor till there’s nary a trace

It has plenty of cushion, yet the lather is slick.
Not bad for a $15 shave stick

Tops on my 4 year old's bedtime reading as of late is Dr. Seuss's The Lorax. Rhyming starts to get into your blood after reading that every night for a couple of weeks...

There once was a stick known as Moos
That could make all your whiskers come loose
Though its scent some find cheery
It just makes my nose weary
And might drive me to substance abuse.

Obviously I'm pronouncing this wrong if it rhymes with Boss?

How do you say this: Irisch Moos?

Unless it has antlers, I ain't calling it "moose"

I don't know why they went for an Irish name to begin with. They could have called it "Der Eidelveiss Schmellenzie" and it would have been all the same to me.

"earish mose" as in chose.

I can't think of an English word that has quite the same o-sound, very round and open.

very creative, tho I'm not sure it qualifies as a limerick since it wasn't off color or dirty.

There once was an Irish shave stick,
that lathered up hearty and thick.
pronouncing its name
was an unending game,
but shaving was pleasant and slick.

There was an Irish shave stick from Deutschland

The badgerblade posters couldn't wait to get in hand.

The soap finally came,

They debated the name,

But all agreed John 'letterk' is the man.
