Tuesday 13th July, shave #194.

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: MWF
Brush: Men-U boar
GC.68 OC, Astra SP #4
Post-shave: Hyaluronic acid.

I've never given the open comb GC.68 a proper sustained test drive, and using it, I have to wonder why not. Too many choices bought too close together, perhaps?

According to the Italian Barber chart, it has slightly less horsepower than the .84 SB, but it can be applied very precisely. It nails those elusive under-nose whiskers.

I got a BBS face without irritation, and recent neck-shaving improvements carried over to it successfully. It's earned itself at least a week of exclusive use.

Wednesday 14th July, shave #195.

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: MWF
Brush: Men-U boar
GC.68 OC, Astra SP #5
Post-shave: Hyaluronic acid.

A relaxing near-BBS, with some minor neck irritation.

I saw the "King C Gillette" modern DE in Tesco, was slightly tempted, but going by the reviews, my 23C already fills that niche.

...but this one IS cracked.
Need an adjudication from the group. I have been playing along at home, however tonight I didn't start my shave until five to midnight and didn't finish the third pass until after midnight. Does that count as a shave for Thursday or does the shave have to be completed by midnight?

Thursday 15th July, shave #196.

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: MWF
Brush: Men-U boar
GC.68 OC, Astra SP #6
Post-shave: Hyaluronic acid.

Got a reasonable DFS, but this blade is done on 6.

Managing one shave per Julian day and not worrying about details seems fine to me, but it will be @Leverspro's call.

Shave #197, first shave at home in a while. Definitely faced my greatest challenge of the year to shave everyday while traveling this past week. Nice to be using a mirror again that I don't have to bend over to see my face in (I'm tall).
