We’re watching older seasons of the amazing race. Several different episodes in different seasons all have contestants who can’t drive a stick while on a leg of the race.Go try to find a stick shift to buy. You have to settle for a rice burner to find one.
I get it. I have the same problem.Just the side effects of being a stupendously attractive senior man I guess.
Maybe folks are trying to meet you but then feel shy and don’t leave a note.I get it. I have the same problem.
Yep, I get hit on all the time by those 20 year old babes that can’t control themselves. It’s hard being a living sex symbol, but it’s my lot in life.Maybe folks are trying to meet you but then feel shy and don’t leave a note.
You know getting “hit” on.
It’s called elder abuseYep, I get hit on all the time by those 20 year old babes that can’t control themselves. It’s hard being a living sex symbol, but it’s my lot in life.
Au contaire, those poor girls never get far enough to abuse me. Mrs Okie makes sure of that. It’s called elder abuse
Jk
(An earlier post that you mentioned dealt with his car getting hit and the perpetrator not leaving a note)
Manuals are far more fun. In order, I’ve owned a 1973 Triumph Spitfire, 1976 Toyota Corolla, 1978 Chevy Monte Carlo, 1985 VW GTI, 1986 Mazda B2000, 1990 Ford Escort, 1986 Mercedes 300TD, 2001 Honda Civic, 2006 Honda Accord V6, and a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Only the Chevy and Mercedes were automatics, and were wretchedly boring. The rest were all manuals and a joy to drive.Yep. I have two Toyota's in the driveway, both 5 speeds! Fun vehicles.
Unfortunately, I don't believe the new Ford Maverick SMALL pickup is available in a stick. But it is coming out in the Fall, and I am trying to talk my bride into getting one. Probably wait a year or two and see how reliable they are!Manuals are far more fun. Frankly, at 226,000 miles, it’s time to replace the Accord a daily driver. But because new practical manuals are so hard to come by, just can’t do it. Maybe the new Ford Bronco…
I’ve wondered if wait a year on a new model is actually valid. Or an old wives tale or something born out of the pinto. Let’s wait a year or two and see how many blow up.Unfortunately, I don't believe the new Ford Maverick SMALL pickup is available in a stick. I've never bought a new car, but this one tempts me.I’ve wondered if wait a year on a new model is actually valid. Or an old wives tale or something born out of the pinto. Let’s wait a year or two and see how many blow up.
Buying new isn’t probably the best value but you’ve got the full warranty etc on a new car even a new model. I’ve had good luck with two different brands buying a new model before.
I laughed aloud at this. Great stuff! This thread is a breath of fresh air. I love me a good rant.Lawn
Mine.
Git.
Variations on a theme.
Having been born handsome instead of wealthy I know exactly what you mean!Yep, I get hit on all the time by those 20 year old babes that can’t control themselves. It’s hard being a living sex symbol, but it’s my lot in life.

I went to school with2 fellows who were cousins. Their fathers were identical twins and so were their mothers. They were born in Pecos, Texas. Small town thang. We must be twins that married twins my friend!
When the kids got to be teens I stopped buying manual vehicles because I didn't want them to have to learn on a stick. Several years ago I had to borrow a friend's car for an errand and found out it was manual. What a pleasure to drive one again, even if for less than an hour.
