Unacceptably Lasering Chicken Giblets?
Nope. Yours didn’t make it. I had Fried chicken gizzards and livers a couple of weeks ago. Before I got the big quarantine. I have since been permitted to return to society.
So gizzards are on my radar!!

Unacceptably Lasering Chicken Giblets?
My wife and our youngest drove to her parents’ home today to drop off food and drink for a month or two.
On the way home I picked up a dozen fried chicken gizzards and a dozen fried chicken livers.
And I was carrying my Elsie Pea with a Crimson Trace Laser.
Tomorrow we are traveling to Houston for just one night for a doctor appointment. My wife will be stuck in the vehicle for 2 or 3 hours while I am with our daughter for her appointment with an allergy specialist.
My wife will have her Elsie Pea with no laser and I will be carrying mine with a laser. She says she don’t need no stinking laser.

Dude. She sounds enough like me and @OkieStubble 's wives that I'd start making darn sure I put the toilet seat down. Just sayin'.

We like your company, and you shouldn't assume she'll fire a warning shot!

Y’all have no idea. She’s a Starr county Texas girl. They came to town once a month to buy groceries when she was growing up. She’s never eaten a pop tart or corn dog.
She’s they only one in her family to attend college and she graduated. She has made it a point to pay for college for her brother’s 3 kids and their clothes and such so they have easier lives. “To break the cycle.”
Look up the story about Mexican crabs.

At work the guys get her to “break” the suspects.

The 1st time I took her to the ranch I shot a deer and a hog and she helped me butcher them. Ifell in love on the spot.

She’s incredible to work with and shes more than I could have ever asked for in a wife and mother!! Much better than I deserve.

Brother, you are blessed. Me too.

I KNOW I've told this story before, but I don't care; I'm old now, lol. And proud she chose me, lol!

Me and a buddy were rabbit hunting one time. We only got one, and he wanted to just take the haunches. I said, no, let's bring it up to the house and call my wife.
He looked at me like I was nuts.

She came over from our place across the street and had it clean in about 5 minutes.

She raised rabbit with her dad when she was younger! Lol, I'll never go hungry married to her. But now y'all know why I call her the War Department, and sleep with one eye open!

I certainly don't have the real world experience of Rob or other LEOs on this forum, but I would think that if you don't already have the basic point shooting skills down fairly well, a laser probably won't help much. As already mentioned, a laser can give false confidence and does not help with flinching, unless you train extensively with one! I have a couple on my long guns, but only one on a handgun, which I rarely carry, just wanted to try one out, wasn't favorably impressed, goes on when I don't want it to (unloaded, it's fun to play with the cats). I want my compact handguns as unencumbered as possible and will rely on point/body index/contact distance shooting and train to a reasonable level to be at least moderately proficient in these shooting techniques.
I put one on my little Sig P365 and it just reinforces the idea that it is really hard to hold a handgun steady, especially one handed. That little dot bounces around a lot, I have not have had the opportunity to practice with it yet, so how well I can shoot with it remains to be seen. The big advantage I see is that if you have it zeroed properly you should be able to shoot from a gun position other than the normal aimed stance.

Don’t look at the dot. Look at your target. It won’t seem to bounce and it’s bounce ya exaggerated. With red dots, my irons will appear rock steady while the dot jitters. Focusing on your target will alleviate that.

I could sympathize, if like me, he has presbyopia. My EDC has an SRO. I can hit things with a red dot. I cannot focus on a front sight without tilting my head way back.

Maybe I’ll figure out how to cope with that one day. In the meantime, I could benefit from a laser on a mouse gun.

I have the same issue that I have to tilt my head way back with my progressive lenses.
Have you tried reading glasses? In good light I see better with no glasses.
Those stick on lense peep sights were great for Target practice.
Lasic?

I don’t think I’m a candidate for Lasic. I think it’s due to karataconus, astigmatism and approaching cataracts. Growing old isn’t for sissies.

I can use flip lenses at the range, but that isn’t practical for DGUs, so the red dots are wonderful.

I've been shooting handguns recently without my precription glasses, just clear no correction shooting glasses, I can see my front sight pretty clearly and the target at close to moderate distancee is only slightly blurry, as it should be. I would be hard pressed to shoot a small target at distance, but that's what my long guns are for. I will be getting a Gen 5 MOSS Glock 19 and will put an RMR on it.

I have a Ruger 22/45 with a Burris Fastfire on it, but it sits too high and takes a while to find the dot, so its dificult to engage rapidly with, but once I find it, it does well.

I’m taking a two day red dot essentials course in August. There are a lot of tricks I need to know. I put a tritium front site on my VP9 and I can find it lots easier in the dark.

From that I discovered that looking for the front sight speeds things up. One needs to look at the target and bring the dot in without looking at the dot. Hopefully the course will give me better insights.

Good tip, but alas my 22/45 has no other sights! Even if it did, the Burris FF sits so high, it may not matter. I need to get a lower profile mount, but it would be a custom proposition, probably not worth the cost for what I use it for.

Ruger sells one. They have decent sales on occasion. I put it on my 22/45. Just have to pound the rear sight out of the dovetail.
Mark Series FastFire Mount-ShopRuger - https://shopruger.com/Mark-Series-FastFire-Mount/productinfo/18472/ I think that’s the one I bought.

Looking to do the exact same thing.
