Tried out the first of a 50-pack off Viking blades, and am thoroughly disappointed. To be fair, I tried the "mild" ones. I've only ever shaved with the Merkur blades up to this point, and these were a major step down. In fact, I swapped the brand new Viking blade back out for the weeks-old Merkur blade to finish the job.
Ordered a sample pack from West Coast Shaving and a 50-pack of Feather blades because they're so highly-recommended. Merkur was out of stock.
