One palm lather since she came in after my morning shave.

Love that. Rudy made a classic look right there!

Thanks, I asked Rudy for a 23mm Shavemac knot in finest with a redwood burl handle similar to the Semogue LE 2011. He did a fantastic job!!! Here it is next to my Duke 3. I find the Shavemac finest to be noticeably softer than the Simpson best badger.

It reeks of class. I really enjoy its simplicity. I may get a Shavemac for a Graydog handle that needs a knot. Thanks for the idea!

This pair of Mondial 1908 brushes found their way to my place. I have not used them yet. Sometime soon.

Another new one which I used today. A synthetic brush from Jack the Barber. Very soft. I like it.
It shed less than ten bristles on its first run.

Whoa!

Great find, while clearing out home of recently deceased and beloved Mom!
Badger brush and mug were tucked away, deep in cabinet under a bath vanity.
Never saw Dad use it; I wonder if it was either left over from prior home owners (25 years ago) or somehow from Mom's family?? Absent doing DNA testing, I might never find out!

My guess, a Rooney, vintage 1960's. All ceramic, with brush indent on mug handle.

Anyone have any other ID suggestions??

It is a Rooney decal.

Great looking handle! What do you like about Ebonite as a handle material?

I don't know if I like it as a material any better than resin but I do love the way some of them look. It does have a sort of tacky feel to it even though it is polished very smooth. I will be using mine in the morning for the first time. I put a turnnshave tips 28mm fan in it.

Happy shaves

These two brushes turned up with some razors from the bay. Maybe for later restoration. The blue and white one is an Eterna Pure Bristles 110 made in China. The other one is a faux chrome handle with no name on it.
