English fat handled tech

Hi, first time poster here.

I've recently bought an English fat handled tech on ebay. It was listed as a Gillette no. 77 (Australian tech) on further research I've only found no. 77 gillettes with a flat bottom plate like this one:

The razor I bought has a diamond shaped bottom plate (made in England) like those found on later English ball end techs and some (or all?) Canadian and American fat handle techs. I have only seen one other English fat handle tech sold on ebay that looks like mine as all others have the flat bottom like those seen on Mr razors website.

Is it possible the handle and head on my razors aren't matched? Or was there a period when they switched from flat to diamond shaped baseplates while still making the fat handled tech? Any info is appreciated

The razor I purchased still had the plastic wrapper around the head and looks to be unused so it would be weird if the head or handle was swapped out

I purchased one of these recently. Box is identical and the only difference in the razor is mine has a logo on the head. Not shaved with it yet, reluctant to take the cello of it

What kind of plastic wrapper? Certainly bubble pack would not be original packaging.

Some eBay vendors are much given to just making up stuff, because they don't have time for due diligence, or just like to include clickbait.
Like calling any old adjustable TTO a "Fatboy".

At any rate, you've got a good basic razor there. I particularly like the balance and grip on a fat-handle Tech.
