Monkey Shoulder Batch 27 pure/vatted/blended malt or whatever they are calling it these days Scotch. Actually from what I read really a triple malt. Nice Speyside whisky. A bargain. Some say a beginner's Scotch. I am not sure about that.

Met the daughter's boyfriend's father this evening. We went out to dinner and he shared a magnum of one of his favorite winery's offerings that he transported from CA: Pride (Sonoma) Cab Franc 2000. I'm not a wine afficianado, but it was very nice.
Mark Ryan Old Vines Cab 2012 to go with a steak last night!

Balvenie 12 yr old Doublewood single malt scotch. This is a scotch for people who don't like scotch. No peat or heat, very smooth Sherry notes.
