After seeing the pic, I am tempted to get one, too.Man, that is great work! It's going to be one awesome pen when you are done.

Either way, the mechanism seems to still work fine, so I'm crossing my fingers its just a little surface oxidation and nothing to worry too much about.
Thanks for the tip!considered using some evaporust on it? others may be able to say if it could have negative affects on the celuloid or other non metal parts, but it works a champ on rust.
What kinda soldier doesn’t have dental picks in his weapon cleaning kit? Even if they’re cheap Paki things. If this weren’t such a civilized board, I’d be tempted to make an inter-branch commentary on the intelligence of DATs.
Nice work though.
Nice! Did you restore it yourself?I’ve been rocking this one today

It is even more rewarding when you fix up a snorkel. The first one is always the one that challenges you and makes you most proud. Was it fun fitting the bladder on the section?
I don't doubt it. I must stop with the Esties otherwise it would lead to snorkels, eye-droppers, carts, and utter pandemonium. It is even more rewarding when you fix up a snorkel.

One Waterman will lead to half-a-dozen.Yeah, I’m not ready for snorkels or Vacumatics or fancy fillers. I think I’ll stick with Esties for now. Unless I find a Waterman for the right deal.
