Needless to say I quickly informed them, as I have almost removed the top part of a finger while digging around in boxes.
I was at an antique shop today and had just this conversation. I removed a blade from a 1912 and mentioned she shouldn't display the razors with used blades in them. When I asked if she had a safe way to dispose of it, she took it from me and said she'd take care of it. When I passed the same display on my way out of the store, she'd put the blade BACK IN THE CASE, sitting next to the razor!

Reminds me of the old urban legend about people leaving AIDS needles in theater seats.

Numerous times, when poking around in boxes for razors at fleamarkets, have I encountered unwrapped razorblades. Once I dug out two Slim Twists and an alu handle Tech from a pile consisting mostly of old unwrapped razorblades and the moldy remains of their wrapping. I have only cut myself once, and not very deep - but I learned to be more carefull.

Regards.

Just out of curiosity, since nobody else asked, was the razor itself what you expected?

Glad you escaped injury. Maybe you should wear work gloves when opening these packages. :)

Yeah, the razor was just as described in the auction - just that little surprise at the end of an otherwise perfect transaction.

Yeah, some sellers aren't too bright.
But the seller neatly lined everything up so that none of the razors and blades were touching each other when the box was closed. Clearly it's the mail man's fault for inverting the box.
