!0-4---kinda of a Elvis Costello ("Angels Want to Wear My Red Shoes"; I thnk he still always wears red shoes when on stage; I ha met EC up close; it is a really good look); I bet you can get "gators" in darn near any color, but they will really cost
<"SB with peak lapels" that going to hard to find.>
Used to be a very bespoke/custom suit thing. Now you are starting to see some around. A guy that was sitting at the same table my wife and I were at a bar mitzvah this weekend had one on. There is a guy, among other places on EBay, does business under a name something like Bari, who actually gets decent reviews and has some SB peak lapels.
I think it is a lot the peak lapels that make DB suits look so good.

Very "rad" skklog. I do not think I have every seen that breast pocket treatment. Seems like nice touch.
Wild suit. But when you think about it is really mostly the fabric that is wild, I suppose the piping on the pockets might be considered out of the ordinary. (Are all of those pictures color? Wonder why burgundy piping on the insider of the jacket, but black on the outside. Is a black shirt the only color that would work with it? Black suit and white tie could look kind of costumey. But say burgundy shirt and vintage tie . . . .) But otherwise you have a standard notched lapel, double-vented, single button, which is not common, but does not really change the suit. Four buttons on the sleeves just like you would get at Brooks Bros.
That short sleeve, short jacket, high suit button look would not work for me though. I am fat enough that it would look like I outgrew a well-fitting suit.
I am not sure I like that look anyway. I kind of like the over long coat you see Mick Jagger or Steven Tyler wear sometimes. I think you have to be skinny to wear that short look. But, perhaps if you are skinny and wear that over long coat thing, it kind of makes you look tall and long.
Daring stuff, My Man, but I do not disapprove! Maybe wear it with some Mod-type "points" boots? Or what were you thinking?

I'm 6'1 and 150 lbs so kinda skinny
I was thinking red/burgundy tie, with black shirt.
"Wild suit. But when you think about it is really mostly the fabric that is wild,"
just so you know, I have a red suit, blue suit, green suit, white suit, burgundy suit......
not so wild to me.
I still want a soft yellow suit. and purple suit.

skklog, the first thing I thought of when I saw the suit was Gary from the movie "Weird Science".

Sounds like a the beginning of a good story over at thedailywtf
3.5 suits. (I give a half credit for the last one because it's not really a suit; just a very nice miami jacket, dark tan wool pants, and some very nice mahogany shoes for the fit.) Other 3 are black w/ pinstripes, olive, and blue.

3 for the moment. RLBL, Oxxford, and Isaia. Trying not to wear too many suits, going more sportcoat action nowadays.
I recommend against disposable suits. Go more versatile and higher quality, you will not regret it!

Given our shoe color discussion, I am not too, too surprised. You have pulled me in. I am guessing you are not in banking or the funeral home industry, but you are not necessarily buying work clothes anyway. Where does one wear a soft yellow suit? Or better, where did you have in mind wearing a yellow suit? If you are having me on, that it okay, too, but I am guessing you are not!

I have zero suits. I have one suit jacket from a thrift store. I used to have a Harris Tweed sportcoat, but it no longer fits. I love my bowties, but I rarely have an occasion to wear them. As for the yellow suit talked about above, for some reason, my mind went straight to Dick Tracy...
Okay, its more of an overcoat than a suit, but the only other thing it could be would, at least in my mind, be a sweet zoot suit, ala The Mask.

I forgot about my bow ties, I have three of those ( black satin, black, white)
I wear them to church, out to dinner, any time I can!
I like to wear suits more than any thing else.
Here is the yellow I was thinking. this suit is not the best quality, but how many yellow suits do you see?

The Dick Tracy thing was what I thought of too. It is a very impressive similarity. Skklog and I wear our suits to the same place. However, I tend to be much more conservative than my little brother.

Ha! That does not count as a "yellow" suit! Not in the context of talking a about purple and red suits, green shoes! I would say that is preety close to a beige suit and I do see beige suits around!
Wow that seems like a long suit coat though. It seems like it could be an overcoat. The white suit in the pictures you posted was cut very short. Quite the contrast. I read somewhere something about what makes a good looking DB suit, but I cannot remember what it was. But it was something that had to do with not looking like there was too, too much fabric. Too darn much fabric for me here!
<I forgot about my bowties, I have three of those>
Bowties! Friggin' bowties!
Silver and purple suits I can handle! Green and purple shoes I can handle. Black shirts and white ties, I will let go by. Suit coats that do not make it to the bottom of ones, butt, okay. I will even let you slide with black shoes and khakis, if you must. (That one is actually the toughest one for me in this list.)
But bowties!!!! A man has to draw a line somewhere darn it. I am not getting behind your wearing any bowties! You have travelled well beyond the pale now!!! Heavens to Betsy, bowties!!! Please, Lord, erase that image from my mind!
[Just kidding, of course. I do not like bow ties on me. Not a flattering look for if one is heavier set as far as I am concerned. But you say you are pretty tall and pretty trim, so why not. Bow ties are absolutely as traditional and correct as regular ties in any situation I know of, and more correct in others. I do not know that that goes for white and black ties, but I do not think the fact that they are bowed makes a difference so much.]

My only bow tie is a black silk one. The real one you have to tie yourself, of course! I usually only wear it with my tux however.
The suit I want is silver. I think it is a very light grey, but I see it referred to as silver many times.

I got one suit I almost never get to wear though but I also have some nice dress shirts and slacks I should start wearing more often.

Only one suit (gray) but two sportcoats (one charcoal and one tweed). I need to replace my old black suit which I, er, outgrew.

I don't wear suits. I have one that I wear to interviews; the last few interviews, I went bizcas. I find I don't like what suits say about a person or a workplace.
