Hi

I've attached a picture of the gear I've acquired over the past month or so since taking up the noble art of DE shaving (sorry about the fingerprints on the glass doors). I reckon my small cabinet could take a few more tubs of Taylor's and Mama Bear's soaps - the mug can live outside :001_rolle

Top shelf
Pure badger brush (unknown manufacturer), DE sampler pack, Proraso pre/post (sml and lge tubs), Gillette 1959 Fat Boy (E3), Trumper's alum block, large Proraso shaving cream, Kent shaving soap, Mama Bear's patchouli shaving soap sample.

Bottom shelf
Proraso ASB, Proraso AS, vegetable glycerine, witch hazel (some of previous two decanted into amber bottles), Taylor's Avocado and Rose, Shaving Shack #7, large coffee mug cum shaving bowl.

Not a bad start, I feel. I'm currently getting immense joy with an Israeli Personna and Taylor's Avocado with about 5 drops of glycerine in the mix. Glycerine rubbed on the face pre-pass makes such a difference too. Months of fun and games lie ahead. I'll detail my shaving regimen in another forum at another time - maybe my first foray in SOTD. Be seeing you.

Regards
Colin

It's Euthymol. Decribed as "A Scientific Dental Preparation". It's bright pink and has a very strong, antiseptic taste, a bit like Dentyne chewing gum. Definitely an acquired taste. I was originally attracted to it's traditional packaging - the logo, typeface etc. I bought some out of curiosity and haven't looked back since.

Very cool! I may have to pick some up. I think CO Bigelow carries it. Thank you :thumbup1:

I used to use Euthymol at med school. Great olde-world flavour. I'd describe it as anti-septic like, not minty and not cinamon-y. Comes in a metal tube, not plastic. Does not contain fluoride unfortunately which is why I stopped using it. Give it a try its one hell of a great experience!

Nice Colin...if you get rid of the Proraso AS Boxes you will have a bit more space as well for new purchases :thumbup1:

That *would* be cool - perhaps one day I'll own a barge and sail it up and down the Forth & Clyde Canal. :biggrin1:
