For Pastes etc, where do people buy the stuff?

I have heard that Hand American is an provider, but, where can I locate them on internet?, I had the thought that this is their website:

But how do you order from them?, are they still in business?, or am I missing something here?

They are still in business though many say they can be difficult to contact. I guess you have to call and speak to someone in person and that's the rub. It may take many calls to get a response but once you do you will be taken care of.

Not necessarily. I returned a few strops about 5 months ago and have been playing phone tag, sending emails, etc ever since and have yet to recieve the replacements. I'm currently out about $135.

Hate to post stuff like this but I gave them every opportunity to make it right. Had I known beforehand...

I ordered some chromium paste from the on Feb 8th, and they haven't sent it nor have they responded to my messages or e-mails.
Personally I'd consider them a wash... or at least too big a risk for any serious investment.

I bought some diamond pastes on ebay, got them in my mail today, paid around 7-8 dollar each syringe, which contains 10gram, about 10ml in the syringes.
No problem with customs on that. So no I only need 0.25 diamond paste and the green chromium.
I'm looking on the pages of ClassicShaving, and $16.99 for 5ml is quiete expensive in the comparision.

Did you get the same brand for that price? All diamond pastes are not equal. You pay for the sorting of the diamond xtls. A cheaper paste will have poorer sorting and if you buy say .25 diamond and it contains xtls larger than that it will compromise the performance of the paste. The Amplex is a quality product with excellent sorting.

Better sorting.. but we cannot verify either..

Other brand, I just have to live with it.. It takes serious time to buy things over the net, so as for now, I settle with this, when there are others who is selling the Amplex at maybe better price I will check in again. $20 for 5grams, is a bit expensive, and the shipping is even more expensive.. if they want to sell it to Norway, it looks like not so many want to export this kind of stuff out of usa.

These pastes meet the standards of quality to 100%. Amplex is more expensive but I doubt it is better. They are very attentive and send him by USPS or by other means if you want. The pastes are EXCELLENT and more expensive than amplex. They have been sent to Barcelona-Spain and I am very happy with the outcome. I tried pastes poland and there is a big difference in terms of results.

Yepp, I have, he confirmed that they only have green stuff, not diamonds etc. So now I'm only waiting for my order to come through.

Well, this deal newer went through.. after sending the order everything got quiet, sent lots of reminders, but dark as... .

So then I checked the website for handamerican again, and I have been sending to info@handamerican.com the first time, but now the emailadress on the frontpage was kd@handamerican.com, and now I made the complete purchase withing about 40minutes.. finally, I can put this question to rest, I bought one of each paste he had.. so it should be enough for some experimenting.

So now I have to find an decent source for Amplex diamond paste, maybe I have to buy the small expensive ones, but.. well.. I was hoping for some cheaper alterantive than classicshaving.., They don't have the 3micron, and I am guaranteed to pay an bundle for shipping, so the small tubes is quite expensive.. (yes I know, for NORMAL use they should last forever..)

Yes, you can order the chrome from japaneseknifesharpening.com and Dave is really helpful but unfortunately it's still handamerican that ships everything out. Japaneseknifesharpening just processes the order and payment but sends the order to handamerican who then ships it out.
So be prepared for a long wait, lots of e-mails and trying to get hold of your order!
If I ever receive my chromium it will be the last purchase I make from anything or anybody affiliated with handamerican.
I can't believe that in this day and age a company stays afloat with such a bad customer service.
