As I await my B&B Pink Ivory Straight it was time to make sure I had the rest of the goodies to go along with it. So I went over to the wellshavengentleman.com and ordered the 3" Heirloom Artisan Red Latigo Strops w/ Dee Rings.

So far I am very impressed with Tony Miller. He personally called me to straighten out the payment issues I had due to paypal not working. He chatted for a bit about razor and strops. Seems like an old fashioned southern gentleman to me. Im sure to review his product when I get it. So far he has wonderful service!

I'm in the same boat, waiting for the Le Grelot and meanwhile getting the rest of the gear organized with Tony's help. I spent a long time on the phone with him, and you just can't ask for a nicer, more knowledgeable person to deal with.

It gave me a glimpse of why he has such a wonderful reputation. My hat is doffed respectfully.

Cheers

Thank you guys! I try to treat every customer the same way I wsih to be treated when I am on the buying, or even simply the asking end.

I do apologize for not being as quick to respond but being basically a one man show I simply run out of time each day but do enjoy chatting with those who call each day.

Thanks again for the kind thoughts, it makes the hard work worthwhile.

As has been said hundreds of times....Tony Miller and his business a one of a kinds in the sense that it is still small enough where the main man (Tony) will actually talk to you and give unbiased advice rather than just trying to sell more and more. Besides the exceptional service from Tony, his products are true "heirloom" products... in a week or so I plan on writing a review.

I have bought several strops from him and he is super nice. He is a one man operation and can't put out a steady flow of products but I have to admit I like that. It means that what you get is handcrafted and well thought out. I don't think you could find a better strop anywhere.

I have been lucky enough to get a 2 1/2" Heirloom with d-rings recently myself. Top of the line materials and craftsmanship.

This strop will outlive me, that's for sure.

Must Dash: What's Le Grelot?

Here (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=34642)'s the thread that should answer your question. When I finally get to hold this lovely new toy, it will be my first straight razor.

Cheers

Whoa.

Niiiice.

I've been lurking and reading and am thinking of getting this (http://www.vintagebladesllc.com/vshop/xcart/product.php?productid=77&cat=132&page=1) or this (http://www.vintagebladesllc.com/vshop/xcart/product.php?productid=575&cat=132&page=1) for my first.

I sport a goatee most of the time so my first pick was for this one (http://www.vintagebladesllc.com/vshop/xcart/product.php?productid=693&cat=132&page=1) .. as I thought it would give more accurate control around le goatee.

However, as I have been reading, perhaps not a good idea for a first timer like myself to get a spike point.

Still saving my pennies ... almost there.

DOVO special faux tortoise is considered to be very good. Even Lynn sung its praise once.
