Looks like Charles has raised his prices. The cube is up to 12 from 10 and the V200 brushes are now 175.00 ( I think they were 135 before). Wonder what happened.

Per a conversation with Charles a few months ago, the price of quality badger hair is on the rise. He also commented that increased fuel costs had driven up the price of overseas shipping.

From what I understand in speaking with Charles directly, the increased price of badger hair was a big driver behind the cost increase. Jean made an announcement about a month ago:

So, why did the price of the cube go up? I know it's only a couple of bucks, but that is a 20%price increase. I'm not complaining, just curious.

What? And end all of the potential speculation? Sheesh, how do you expect to match Ouch's post count? :lol1:

Glad I picked up my S100 back when they were $95. I wonder if we'll see a price increase from other brush companies. Rooney, Simpson etc.

 Don't give me too much credit. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

An e-mail to Charles may end up getting you an in-depth discussion of US monetary policy. The short of it is, commodities are getting more expensive and the US dollar is dropping considerably relative to other currencies. With so much of his stuff not only going up in price on its own but also going up considerably when purchased in US dollars, he can only absorb so much of the price.
