Here's the deal: I have dry, sensitive skin. Often a bit red in the face, with occassional subsurface acne. I had been using kiehl's products for a long time to deal with this: gentle foaming facial cleanser, shave cream with aloe, ultra facial moisturizer + spf 15, sometimes cucumber toner + ultimate men's face scrub. Because the moisturizer would leave my skin shiny, I started looking for something new.
After some online research, I settled on the Urth line of products, which some on this board recommend. They smell great, feel great, and the moisturizer leaves the skin less shiny. HOWEVER: My face is drier and redder than before, obviously not happy! It's been about 10 days since the switch.
My questions: (1) Has this happened to anyone else who has switched product lines (bonus points if switch was to Urth)? (2) Should I keep using the Urth for a while? I have heard that it takes 1 "skin cycle" (30-40 days) for the skin to adjust to a new regimen, and I am willing to keep going if this is true. But if not, perhaps I should stop now?
Never had this happen before--any help would be appreciated. Thx!
