Just got the travel paddle strop with Lattigo on one side, horsehide the other in the mail from Tony. Hell of a handsome piece. Worked it over nice with my hands for a while and then hung it to wait for the new razor from Lynn.
When I ordered the strop, my computer hiccupped during the paypal transaction and then I could not match the payment up with the order. I left a message at thewellshavedgentlemen customer service number and it was actually Tony who returned my call. Now, I don't care if he has 1 person working for him or 20, I know he is a busy man; so I thoght his personal call was great customer service and my strop arrived 4 days later. I told him it was an honor to talk to him and I meant it!

Raso,
Thank you! Basically it is just me running the business but we have grown a bit this past year. My wife handles the administrative tasks and keeps me on track. I cut, punch and finish all the leather and linen for the strops as that is where the quality counts. I still assemble all the paddles and most of the hanging strops.
I have a woman who helps assemble some hanging strops for me one afternoon a week, two Amish woodworker frineds turn my 4 side paddles and cut my 2 side paddles and box strops. Two other Amish friends help cut handles and end caps when I am really busy a few times a year. They are all independant craftsmen (and woman) with their own shops and business so don't work for me but we help each other when we can.
We have grown to the point where I could not do what I do now without their skilled help and their particular talents have only improved upon what I have started.
Take care,
Tony
