I've become quite fond of hair tonic, but it seems the ones I find all say lightweight for a description. Which I understand means greaseless. So how about a greasy one? Anybody know of one?

Two that come to mind from the 50s are Wildroot Cream Oil (Fearless Fosdick's favorite) and Brylcreem. Both will give you the 'greaser' look. Works great if you have a lot of hair. If you are like me and it is rather sparse on top it makes you look like the little guy in Ratatouille (sp?) with a bad combover.

I use Jeris Hair Tonic with oil. Clear plastic bottle and the tonic is green. Oil floats on top until you shake it up. I found mine at a barber supply place. I've never see any at a drug store or big box.
I also use Brylcream and Master Well Comb hair dressing. The Well cream has a hand lotion consistency. I like them all and use whatever strikes my fancy in the morning. Of the three, Jeris is the true "hair tonic".

+1 for Jeris and Brylcream.

+2 for Jeris with oil. Can get it in Sally's Beauty Supply. Probably other beauty supplies, too.

If you want oily then Pashana Brilliantine is excellent. It comes in two fragrances, Original (my fav) and Blue Orchid.
