I may be looking to source some AUTHENTIC Sandalwood essential oils, and may be interested in some authentic rose essential oils, as well. Also, from what I've heard, what I'm looking for is a particularly rare Indian (Mysore?) Sandalwood essential oil, not the Australian. Has anyone any idea where Charles of QED sources from? That is the particular scent I'm looking for. I'm not looking for fragrance oil or sandalwood blends, just straight sandalwood.

I may also soon be interested in some rose essential oils. My question is, I can understand why particular sandalwood essential oils are so expensive, but why rose oils? What particular rose oil should I look for to get the woody, dry effect?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

i'm not sure i'd describe rose oil as dry and woody. as far as why it is so expensive i believe it's because the rose picking is very labor intensive process. I think you can purchase some at http://www.bulgarianroseotto.com
Of course roses vary, but I'm not sure if there is any other kind of roses that is produced in similar industrial quantity.
