I have recently purchased throught a website a Merkur Vision and it seems that adjustable setting is off. The letters do not align with the merkur symbol in my Vision. They start at mid point between the V and I. I requested an explanation from the website and they replied the following message:
"I checked 3 from Stock and one starts at near N and goes around almost to N again. I checked another and it starts at near S and goes around from there, Another starts at about I. Apparently they are all different and what letter it starts on is unimportant and none of them start on V. The one you have is actually the closest to starting at V. The letters are just there so that when you find the best comfort setting for your neck, you will know what letter it is, to set it there again. You may find that on your face a different setting might be what you would want, so you may use one letter setting for your face and another for your neck. I use an adjustable #70 and I have done that but usually once I find a setting, I like, I leave it there for the whole shave."
Is this statemet correct? Please advise me....
Also, could anyone explain to me the differences, if any, between the Vision and Vision 2000.
Regards
