I only use moisturizer during the winter, so I often use whatever my lovely lady has around.

You guys have turned me on to some really great products, so I was wondering what kind of moisturizer any of you would recommend. Price isn't a concern, I only want the best.

I have been using Nivea Extra Enriched Lotion with very good results. I use it year-round after shaving and/or washing my face. Best - MM

Sorry, for the face.

Since you mentioned that price is of no concern, I can highly recommend Weleda Moisture Cream for Men. I had a sample once and was amazed. Then I looked up the price... ~$10 for a 1-oz tube. nevertheless, it's great stuff, just like anything else from Weleda. Best - MM

How do you gents feel about using products intended for body on your face? I was looking at Cetaphil moisturizers the other day and noticed that for the same price of $10 I could get a small tube of "facial moisturizer" or a large pump bottle of lotion for "skin and body." Both are non-comedogenic, so I opted for the big bottle of lotion. So far so good...just keep it out of your eyes...it stings!

Yup, I don't really use "facial moisturizer" (except for the gym, I have a tube of Nivea Sensitive)

Body lotions are less expensive for the amount that you get.

At home, it's either regular Coppertone SPF 15 (with Jojoba oil), or the new Vaseline with Cocoa and Shea Butters (great product):thumbup1:

Keep in mind that Mozart and myself have dry facial skin; I'm not sure about body lotions for oily-skinned gents.

This stuff (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1624) is pretty amazing. I've used it over the course of the last couple of winters and have had nothing but positive results.

I'm an ASB guy all year long....and have used them for years. I'd have to suggest the Floris ASB (santal, elite, JF) whichever...they're all about the same in their effect. There is absolutely no burn, and the stuff is VERY moisturizing. Feels like a lotion going on, but doesn't leave any greasy residue....plus, unlike lotion for the body...this stuff DOES NOT burn....but I did mention that before.

They're also a little on the pricey side, but you did say that $$ wasn't a factor:biggrin:

I've been using Nivea Sensitive Extra Soothing Moisturizer for the past few weeks. It works very nice.

I use Anthony Logistics Glycerin Hand and Body lotion but if price is of no concern I had a sample of MenScience Moisterizer that was fantastic.

Clinique M lotion. Too greasy for oily skin, but for me it's very good. Mild for sensitive under-eye skin.

I suddenly feel underusing. I simply use neat shea butter.

During the winter months, I like Corn Huskers Lotion. Great for the face and the hands. I find it cheap at Wal Mart.

I'm a big fan of E45 cream, this stuff absolutely saves my face during the cold, dry winter months. It's manufactured in the UK by Boots Healthcare.

I rarely use moisturizer, but I find Molton Brown bai ji hydrator to be exceptional.

Only in the winter -- I use a tiny dab of Cetaphil lotion on my face after shaving.

It is unscented (big plus), non-comedogenic, inexpensive and well-stocked at my local Walgreens.

And it comes in an incredibly ugly bottle. Which is manly.

Just curious if you ever came to a decision as to what moisturizer to use. I was about to start looking for a new moisturizer as well.

I am looking at the Molton Brown hydrator as well as products by Fresh. My gf used Fresh and Kiehls products and they are quite nice as well.

Hope all is well,

If anyone is in the UK then you might try the plain cream from
http://www.neph-aromatics.co.uk/skin_creams.htm, might be too heavy for the summer but great in winter.
You can add a few drops of any essential oils you like to make your own scent up, just dont overdo it. I added some lemongrass to one, a very refreshing scent. Makes a good shave balm.

FYI, I have been using the Hydrator by Molton Brown with great success. It goes on matte (I hate shiny) and moisturizes very well. The main problem is my fionce loves it too so it is being used quite quickly. ;-)

I find the Dove "Essentials" are all great (almost always well reviewed) Day lotions with spf15 and the "Cream masks" day & night can't be beat at many times the price.

I use Molton Browns Daily Defence. It's a little pricey but its the best moisturiser that I have ever used.

I'm also wanting to try out some of the Lush moisturisers. Mainly the Gorgeous and Enzymion as I have read alot of positive reviews of them and like the idea of using prodominently natural moisturisers.
