I was once again (third time) awarded with a Premier Choice online gift certificate from work for going "above and beyond" and am looking to my go-to smallflower.com via Amazon.com spending outlet, which is the best way I've found to spend these things on shave loot. Well, the last time I went nuts and bought 4 tubes of Speick cream (to add to the two I already had) and a bottle of the EdC. Now I'm thinking about loading up on the bath bars. Any thoughts?
You can also get products from AOS, Tabac, and Castle Forbes.

Cory, this is timely. I was at a small local store today and what did I spy? Speick bath bars! I guess they are bath sized. The one I have is 3.2oz/100g. The scent is lighter than the cream and the lather is amazing. Tallow and coconut are the two main ingredients and boy is that lather creamy. I gave $3.35 for my bar. Good luck.
Regards, Todd
To clarify on my previous post, I simply meant to state that these are also items you can get through Amazon if you are looking for options besides the Speick bath bars.

I enjoy the Speick bath bars, but I found them to be a bit drying for my skin in the winter when I used them. The scent and lather are amazing, though. When summer comes around, I may purchase another bar and give it a go.

No surprise I think highly of this bath soap. Excellent quality and lovely scent. Don't last very long though.

As far as size goes, if we were to use a bar of Irish Spring as the measuring stick, would you say Speick is smaller/same/larger in size? Thanks for the feedback so far, guys!

I'm not sure as to the size of an Irish Spring bar, but the Speick is a little over 4 inches long and 2 inches wide and is about 1.75 inches thick. This is a bar I bought in Germany a little over 2 years ago, so I can't say for sure that they haven't changed it. It is a harder soap than your typical American soap, so it does last longer.

Cool, that sounds like a "normal" size. I ask only because their shave cream tubes must suffer from...eh...tube envy?

I just pulled the trigger on six of the 3.5 oz bars from Smallflower.com via Amazon.com.

Hey fellas. I just thought I'd give an update of the Speick bath soap bar. It is well worth your while to pick up a bar. I have used it in the shower for several weeks now and use it two to three times a week. The outstanding lather is so creamy. It rinses easily and has a nice, woods/pine/clean/spice(?) scent. A real winner. Don't overlook these tallow based soaps. I am convinced that they are the way to go. If you look at all the old classic shave soaps, they were tallow based with a healthy dose of coconut oil for lather. These bath bars are the same except they have more tallow vs. coconut. If I ever get around to making soap myself it will be very simple. Tallow, lard, coconut. It is hard to go wrong with those three classic oils.
