new soap test

i had recently ordered some specialty soap.
florida water and mysore sandal.
the florida water soap made in peru, is an odd brownish green color with a strong clove scent.not much of the citrus scent present in the cologne(which is my favorite).disappointing.:frown: it performed ok in the shower, a bit more oily than i like.
the mysore sandal soap is a reddish brown made in a govt factory in india.it has a strong sandalwood scent out of the box ,almost acrid.performed decently in the shower and the scent diminished down to an acceptable level.the better of the two i think.and if i leave it in the bathroom it scents the whole area.:smile:

This is an excellent soap, both in terms of lather and scent (though it can be a tad drying with consistent use). I liked the scent so much, however, I got the talc as well. :drool:

i'm not sure if florida water is sold in europe.it is an american toilet water first produced in the 1860's .in the bottle it has a slight bitter citrus odor,applied to the skin the other scents gradually rise but the citrus scent never quite goes away,i usually add about 15% glycerine to it and use as an aftershave.as i said the soap has a strong clove scent not much of the citrus scent.over the years florida water has gained an occult reputation as a protective item.here are a few links http://www.luckymojo.com/floridakanangawater.html

just wanted to add that on the indio products website that the mysore sandal soap is on sale 1.50$ us /3 oz-85gr bar plus shipping of course.it is listed under misc soaps.
