Given my sick desire to get a Fusion, I decided to give a different cartridge razor a try today to see if it is really worth pursuing. This is the first time I've used a high quality brush/cream combo with a cartidge razor.

I pulled the Sensor out from the dark recesses of my bathroom. It was a new cartidge, though it's been sitting in a drawer for at least 6-8 years. I had a really close shave yesterday, so today's wasn't much of a challange. It came out decent, but the shave itself felt like a garage sale 45 record being played on a turntable with a rusty needle. I thought I was going to have major irritation, but didn't. Tomorrow I'll pop a new blade in the M3 and repeat. This may be something to keep handy for days when I can't take the time for 3+ slow DE passes.

results- extremely so-so. Close in some places, not so much in others. A couple areas pushed to the point where bumps would appear with repeated shaves using this system. Worth a try to know what everyone else is doing, but I could probably achieve the same speedy results and no irritation by doing a thorough first pass with my Progress and then touch ups/passes with the Bump Fighter razor. That's what I do when I'm in a big hurry.

Did all four passes on #3 setting. Areas of my beard that previously fought off the Progress more or less fell to this razor. I can't explain it. I then did touch ups on the #1 setting, which is ultra gentle for a safety razor, but still cuts. This wasn't a perfect shave, but definitely a stellar one. Although this was just my first shave with this razor, it has unseated the Progress for now.

It's AWESOME! I'm actually sniffing my wrist as I type this. It's a very fresh, yet, soft and woody scent.

My sniffer isn't as good as others - but I know what I like and this is some of the best I've got. Lasts a good long time, as well (not that I'm going to be like Ron and tell you about my "bushy areas.") :001_tt2:

Finally broke down and bought the CAR a/s balm....best product I have ever tried...it leaves my face feeling soft and refreshed.

Hi Jeff,
Very simply, the almond is not amongst my favorite almond creams, nor êShave creams for that matter.. I do not care for the fragrance quite as much as some others, e.g. T&H Almond. The cucumber, white tea, floral, and citrus are all better fragrances. The cucumber, white tea and floral are all better shaves... YMMV.:huh:
