I love shaving with this razor. I want to shave with it for the rest of my life.

No doubt about it, the HD is a great razor. I also own this same leather case and find it very ideal for travel.

I love the leather case. I wouldn't mind having one for my Classic when I travel. Where did you get it?

Call me nuts (I know, little prompting necessary), but I love the fact that it's a two piece razor. :001_tt1:

Merkur makes 'em. I think you can get one from Em's Place at http://www.emsplace.com or Classic Shaving http://www.classicshaving.com.

I kinda like to do-it-myself, so I took the basic idea and went to Michael's, bought some deerskin leather and a purse magnetic snap and made my own.

Got a pic? I'd love to see your handiwork.

I'll post one when I get home from work! :thumbup1:

Okay, here goes. (Shown with a Merkur Classic LH.)

The leather I used is very soft, but it has done a nice job protecting my razors (and everything else in my kit bag from my razors).

Joelmanners: It was a gift from my Wife, she got it from classicshaving.

PalmettoB: That is a beautiful piece of work. It amazes me, the things people make on their own. I'm sure if you started selling those, that people would buy them.

Really nice work, Blair! Looks as good as the official Merkur case.

Thanks, guys. I thought about selling some, but I think Merkur probably has the edge on me. I think it would cost me more in time and materials than what I could get out of it. But for just this one, I spent a little less on materials than the price of the Merkur case, and I had fun making it myself!
