Lets try posting the pic, again. Usually I just grab a pic from a website. First time posting from Flickr. Can you guys see it now?

Roasted everything. Simple but good.

Shawn, that soup looks great....what's in there?

Thanks James!

Carrots
Onion
Celery
Garlic
Sausage
Fire roasted tomatoes
Fresh pinto beans
Chicken stock
Bay leaves (4)
Cumin
Smoked paprika
Chipolte powder
Salt & pepper
Kale

I also tossed in some leftover smoked chicken and some elbow macaroni.

And Tare, I got the recipe from David Chang's cookbook Momofuku. It adds a ton of depth to soups, heck it's good on noodles or even on rice. There are several versions of his Tare out there, this is the one that I use. You'll need to scroll down to see the recipe. I found another recipe for Tare that is slightly different but it still looks really good.

Sterling Cooper . .. where did you find that bird? I'm pretty sure the last time I saw one was a very very long time ago . .. and in pretty much the same pie.:thumbup1:

Baked a couple of loaves of bread this morning, then did a 4 1/2 hour braise on some pork shoulder (12 degrees out today, and I didn't want to deal with maintaining temp in a Weber to smoke it.)

The slaw was completely homemade too.

Hmm, never thought of braising shoulder inside, more evidence that I was never too bright .. just like a pot roast then?
