Vetiver cream?

  1. Is there a vetiver cream out there? or something that's very peppery?

QED makes a vetiver soap that I could imagine is strongly scented and Salter makes a vetiver cream. Never tried either.

  3. Cyril R. Salter makes a nice cream in Vetiver. Available at Bullgoose.net

Salters makes a cream but it is not peppery. It's more earthy.

  5. Salters Vetiver cream is pure vetiver scented, not for the faint of heart. I love this in the fall. Give it a go you can always sell it here on BST forum

  6. Saint Charles Shave have 'very V' soap and cream - guess what that is ;-)

  7. I personally find Penhaligons's Blenheim Bouquet cream to be peppery. PM me an address and I'll scoop you out a sample.

  8. I second this whole-heartedly. I love Vetiver scents, but this one was not for me.

  9. Tabula Rasa offers a vetyver/tangerine product.

  10. You could try Helan's Vetiver and Rum, available at italiansoapstore.com

  11. I agree that it's not for the faint of heart; unfortunately, I am one of the faint of heart when it comes to this cream, although it is otherwise a good product. It reminds me of the old Crabtree & Evelyn vetiver cologne, which was discontinued some where around 1992. For me, it wasn't good.

  12. +1 Earthy is spot on. Not peppery at all.

  13. Salters vetiver is a bit like the fallen leafy smell you get in a wood in late fall.

  14. You guys realize that the OP was interested in this 2 1/2 years ago?

  15. How do these threads get resurrected?

  16. At the bottom of the page it has a similar threads and links to five other threads... Willing to bet people look at the title and then read and reply... (and looking at it now, there is one from this year 2 from March 2011 and one from 2009 and another from 2006...)

Occasionally these dead zombie threads get bumped back to life as Mirrorsaw mentions.

Since it is back I thought I'd mention one of our B&B vendors, Queen Charlotte Soaps, now has a nicely scented vetiver cream (and soap).

  18. Benton Clay is the best smelling Vetiver i've smelled, but it's a soap not a cream.

i have yet to smell the QCS offering.

  19. I would guess he used the search function...better than asking the same question over and over!!

  20. I run across them when I do a search for something.
