I understand completely that someone with a brand new straight might be worried when they see a dark spot on their new razor. But from what I understand rust is oxidization being allowed to reach the maximum peak that it can, and that waterspot=rust might be too wide a generalization for a hobby where specifics are what many of us feed on.
