The Score! Great Outdoors Edition

It is to remove excess material and remove sag from seat works wonders. A brooks seat is adjustable, but can be stretched out to a hammock.

After doing this on an old one; I would definitely do it on a new one of mine.
I probably should have PM you these pics. Sorry to hijack thread. Mods can remove if they wish. No disrespect. :thumbup1:
Very cool, I have one of the pre-aged Flyer models on another bike, it came with the lacing, heard of people trimming them but never seen one, interesting, and I don't mean that negatively.

No pics, but I found a CraigsList seller with a MSR Hubba NX one man with footprint for sale for $200. He also had an Osprey Argon 85 pack and an REI rain cover for $150. I didn't need either one, so I offered him $100 each. After sweating him out, he agreed.

Sold the pack and cover to a friend for $175, so I now own a once-used Hubba NX and footprint ($380 value) for $25.

I am a very happy camper - pun absolutely intended.

Bought a very expensive tent and pack for $200 total. Sold pack, which I didn't want, for $175, so ended up with $380 of tent/footprint for $25. A good day.

Congrats, but Your post was pretty much Greek to me. What did you get in layman's terms?

Ah, thanks. I got that one was a pack, but didn't recognize the other as a tent. Probably a stupid question, but what's a footprint?

A footprint is a ground cloth to put under your tent and protect the floor from wearing out, and can provide extra insulation from the ground. (Cheaper to replace the footprint than the whole tent.) The footprint should be slightly smaller than the floor of the tent so that it doesn't pool water under you.

Ideally, the ground cloth should match the "footprint" of the tent, and many high-end tents have one matched to them.

A friend built me a new Blue Halo fiberglass 3wt fly rod that I picked up in December.

I got new Simms hip waders, wading boots and a wading staff for Christmas. My wife got me Rio Gold fly line for my new 3wt for Valentine's Day. Haven't got that yet but I can't wait to put it on the reel!

Check your walmarts: I just got a Primus Trail Classic stove for $9!

They let go hunting stuff every spring. Also got an Ozark 350-lumen light for $7. Uses AA of course, never get a AAA light, they have no longevity.

Just got this vintage collins 4lb jersey pattern axe at a flea market for $15. Don't know much about axe's but I know older stuff is mostly better than new. It looked like it was in decent condition. Will probably need a new handle but it is sharp.

Oops, Vez. I missed this back in January. A footprint is a thin nylon ground cloth made to fit under the tent. It is hooked into the tent poles when you set up and keeps moisture from entering through the tent floor.
