Taking apart an Ever Ready 100

I would like to switch the Ferrel on 2 of my ER 100 brushes like the models in the photo below but cant figure out how to take them apart without destroying the bases.

Any tips for how to accomplish this?

Don't think it's possible without destroying them.

You can try.

I would think that anything short of melting them or cutting them with a saw wouldn't work.

I think you are going to lose the half you don't want to get the half you do apart in good shape.

I have a Ever-Ready Model 75K that also is in two threaded sections that do come apart.
Very handy for the restore, great classic handle.

I have a ER 79 that has a loose knot and i am guessing the only way to fix it is destroy the knot and that pains me as i purchased it NOS ans the know it barely brok in but cannot really use it moving up and down inside the handle
