$IMG_20161028_145024180.jpgI received my auction items today, along with a few extras. Looking forward to trying these!

Won these two beauties in the middle with a straight incoming!

Without saying too much since my experience is limited, Ebonite handles from Paladin is truly amazing! It's heavy and solid and inspires confidence, while still being warm in the hand the way a smooth stone in the sun feels like. Balance is fantastic.

I was initially concerned with the knot notes indicating that this newer batch of knot were purposely ordered to be less dense than previous iterations; specifically I thought that the backbone may suffer. My concerns, however, were unfounded as the backbone and scrub is still very present, but the new knots have significantly better lather release (the difference is apparent if you're familiar with both knots but the difference is not worlds apart). I shouldn't have doubted, Ken!

This Morris and Forndran brush sold as "Heritage Hair". Extremely scrubby (in a good way, almost to the point of scrit without going over) even compared to Simpson's Manchurian while still being a bit less dense than a Chubby Manchurian and consequently has better lather release an feels less like a "wall of badger". A keeper for sure!
