Another first for me: I'd never shaved with an Ikon before. I just got the head and handle from separate vendors and thought "why wait." Ikons have the rep of being aggressive so I purchased the least aggressive head and my approach was tentative. No problems with the shave: abundant, protective lather, light touch, a lot of audible feedback, no nicks, weepers or irritation. First pass was very smooth and at the end I was quite satisfied. Now, seven or so hours after the shave, I realized it wasn't as close as I first thought. I'm pretty sure it was my tentative technique and not the razor -- certainly not the blade. Still, all in all, a fine shave. As a result of this shave I'm tempted to give my Futur a third try.

Nice shave! Got irritation again. Going to see about putting a heavier handle and see if this will solve me putting too much pressure. But got near BBS. The Ford sport smells awesome! The balm is quite runny and caught me off guard Lol. I smell damn good too. Everything else performed awesome! Have a good night!

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

RR Tuscan Oud today. 20 seconds to load the Elite Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette 70’s “Spoiler” still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Tuscan Oud.

Last shave for this “Spoiler”. Still smooth, but not quite as close (sharp).
