Late night shave.
I just got two sample packs a couple of days ago.
I used my Mekur 33c
Derby Extra
Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandlewood (sample)
So, my first shave and my first set of razors were Feathers. I had a few nicks at first but generally I shave nick free with them (this is my 6th or 7th shave). I tried the Derby's (day 2) and the first time I had a few cuts but it shaved decent. This time it was so bad I actually switched to a feather half way through. I also found that the Taylor soap dried out kind fast (when compared to my Proraso). The Derby's seemed to kind of rip the hair out of my face instead of cutting.I mean, maybe it's me (I'm new after all) but I was wondering if anybody had anything similar happen to them or even, some advice?

I have been holding the violet cream in reserve, and used it today for the first time in about 9 months. It was my first real cream, and has always delivered the goods. I'm happy to say that it did not disappoint in the slightest.
