Did I mention that I can't believe one of these brushes has not landed in New Jersey?

So, are you going to rectify this oversight?

Sorry guys, I didn't even see this wonderful thread until this evening. I will post pics and thoughts shortly. :thumbup1:

So thanks to a friend, I have one of these in my possession for a trial run. Between the two of us it's shed 25 hairs 7 my first tiem to use it

Is this common of all of the Simpsons? Is this 2 band typical to their others in terms of performance & feel?

Paul, I've only owned a few Simpsons, but my Astor has only shed 3-4 hairs over a dozen uses and none the last four.

Tell me please, even though its a matter of personal opinion:

Do you get your moneys worth, in quality and performance?
250 $ is alot of money for one brush, but I am very tempted.
But do you really pay for the rarity, or is the brush just better then other brushes, is it the Rolls Royce of brushes?

Relative to the shedding issues discussed above, mine has also shed a few hairs. How many exactly, I'm not sure. I know it's been 1-3 per shave for a while, although it seems to have quietened down lately to maybe a hair every other shave. (Just watch...tomorrow it will shed five!).

When you look at the hairs that are being shed, take note of the hair length. If the length of the bristle is equal to or less than the loft height above the handle, the hair was likely missed during the comb-out process (and it was obviously not set deep enough to get into the glue). Mine has shed more than my other Simpson brushes, but I'm not worried at this point.

Gents, I purposely stopped buying brushes 3 years ago. I'm over that addiction. Nevertheless, this is making me want one. :mad3:

So is this a "special" grade of their Super 2 band, or is this the type of hair I can expect on any Simpsons 2 band?

I like it:blushing:

I believe it is the very same, but something about it is just a touch better IMHO. That said my other two-band Simpsons are monsters, champions of lather.

I believe this the regular 2-band hair offered by Simpson.

My resolve is weakening. :yesnod:

+1, BTW, did you order?
