I've read that the V {crown} R = Victoria Regina.
Nice job on the restore.

That is correct. The sovereign stamp helps date the razor. G crown R: King George III 1820- 1830, W crown R: King William IV 1830 -1837, V crown R: Queen Victoria 1837 - 1901. I have seen this type of blade grind with both the W and the V stamp.

There was just a Wade and Butcher on the bay that was tapered like this. Sold last week I think. I should have saved the link. They are very interesting looking blades.
