That white stuff you get in July.

I was off the coast of Perth in July of 1989 and got sick as it was so cold. Of course that was when I was in Uncle Sam's Canoe Club (aka the US Navy on board the USS Ranger CV-61)

I have literally never seen snow in real life. When I was a kid we just threw dirt clods at each other.

A week or so before Christmas but it's all gone now. Nine thirty at night and a couple 40watt lightbulbs, snow looked about the same colour during daylight hours, lovely stuff!

I'm from England so I have seen it, but I have been in SE Asia almost 20 years so it's been a while. Then a couple of years back I was at the house in France in February and it dumped a foot of the stuff overnight

We have snow in some parts of the country, but not in the area I live in.
We did get a nice layer of glazing during the night though, it was very risky to go out, so I dropped my idea of going out with the camera today.
I went to the local supermarket and Mother Nature did her best to make me fall, but graciously like a leopard I didn't - or maybe it was more like Buster Keaton

Minus 24 today and it's a sheet of ice out there, Canadian Summer!

It snowed here last night so I took the camera out on the tripod. Lighting provided by light leaking from people's houses and a street lamp.



Snow here is a rarity as it usually just gets very cold and the snow goes around us.
