Wakasas don't get much love for some reason...I had a little one, and I PIF'd it. Good stone, was redundant to me, but it was a good performer.

Nakayama or Ozuko / Shobudani are the popular names for razors, but the name does not mean much, there are other stones out there that work just fine. Every one that has gotten a kamisori from me and quite a few of the ones Telly sold in the last year were honed on that small Wakasa. For me the best kamisori finisher I have tried, and the sample space was pretty large.
I wouldn't say the names don't mean much.
