Hand Crank Burr Coffee Grinder

Time will tell if I got a good deal or not, but I've seen similar grinders with different coloured wood on Amazon for anywhere from $29.50 to $36.99 and when I saw one at auction on eBay for €11,46 with free shipping the cheapskate in me couldn't resist bidding on it.
I won the auction, now it's just a case of waiting for delivery on a slow boat from China - hopefully I'll get it before Christmas
Even if I don't like the taste of the coffee - it will make a nice paperweight or a kitchen ornament
It looks so cool it's eye candy

It's worth a shot at that price, indeed. Here's hoping you found a gem of a grinder. If not, as you said, the worst thing that can happen is that you got a great decoration.

Cheers!

The slow boat from China finally got here

This thing is great, I had to screw in the crank wheel manually, then it was good to go
It's adjusted by taking the little nut and spring off the top, then tightening the nut for a finer grind
Unlike the more expensive grinders with plastic cogs that I've seen on Amazon - this one has metal cog wheels
I did a dummy run to get the required fineness, now it runs very smoothly and fairly quietly
I grind 100% Torrefacto beans, and by the time I've heated up 400ml of bottled water in the microwave, which takes around 3:30, I can grind enough coffee for my 6 cup Moka Pot

The trick with the little drawer is to grind small amounts and empty it out often
I've got enough packs of ground coffee to last me through a zombie apocalypse, but a Moka Pot of freshly ground coffee will be my treat at weekends
