Custom brush stand

My brother made this stand for the brush I made him as a birthday gift. He liked the brush a lot & couldn't find a stand he wanted for it so he made this one from brushed stainless steel and laser welded it together. I thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share it. I feel honored that he liked the brush enough to make his own stand.

He's a custom jeweler back in Ohio so they have one at the shop. He said it's not the best for this kind of work because the weld is only 1-2mm thick. He's looking for some acid flux so he can solder it for a stronger bond.
