Here are a few photos of the latest AL prototype. I thought you guys would like to check it out. The razor has not been anodized yet so the appearance/finish is strange looking but that will be resolved during the last step of the production process.

It is a milder feeling nice and smooth but efficient. It is based in the R1 plate. I use a very light touch and have gotten very nice results.

Yes they will share the same specks. You could inter change parts, if you wanted a lighter stainless you could add an AL handle or add a stainless base plate to the AL razor if you wanted to add a bit of weight etc.

They should come in at about half of the price of their stainless cousins.
Looks great and should go over in a big way.

For those who want to know, the total weight of the new AL razor is 38g or 1.4oz
while the handle is 26g or 0.9 oz.
