I did the same thing for my wife and kids. I've been using a safety razor since college and with a family all those cartridges get really really expensive so cost alone is worth it. My 17 yr old son forgot his kit at a football camp and bought a cheapo disposable and commented how much it sucked compared to how I taught him. Win win!! Just buy a couple of hundred packs of blades and throw them in the cupboard and for under $20 your set for a year or two.
