Just me, or do the pictures appear better now? Smaller a bit, but sharper?

Well, if you look back just a couple pages in the thread, some of the pictures are sharper, some are reduced in size & clarity, like cheesy thumbnails, some have disappeared altogether in this new edition. No idea what the difference in treatment is about. Overall in a thread like this the effect of the change isn't very good. Maybe it will be better going forward ..

Starting to prep for the Alaska pilgrimage in a couple weeks, which, hopefully, will include return visit to the Homer eagles! Here is a handful from last year!

See those plumes on the egrets? These birds almost went extinct because they were being killed for those plumes. They decorated women's hats in the early 20th Century with them.
