Prep: 32-minute soak in swimming pool during workout, followed by shower, then shave a few minutes later.

Omega Syntex 90018 brush, for face lathering -
Wilkinson Sword stick
Slim Adjustable, I-3, set at 4 (first pass) then 3.
Crown Super Stainless blade, 2nd shave
Body Shop Razor Relief, <2009 formula

This shave was done out of a travel kit in the health club locker room. The Crown blade seems to receive little love or mention on shaving forums, but with the kind of prep mentioned above, it yielded a DFS to near-BBS. This Crown seems to be in the bottom level of Lord blades, but for me it has performed better than another Lord brand in the same class, the Asco Red.

After several days of feeling under the weather, I am finally on the mend, and am able to do more than fall into bed when I get home from work. This morning started with a rare, for me at least, superlather. The QCS soaps certainly can stand alone, but I have just a little of the cream left, and find that it doesn't work as well for me by itself since I switched to the straight. This citrus combination was just the ticket though. The razor, though, needs to head to the stones. This was one of the first two I had, and so far has always responded to the CrOx, but this time was just a little too harsh. We'll see how this works since I'm very new to the honing thing.
